Jetzt geht es los: Die Stiftung Stadtkultur bringt neue Kunst an den Mehringplatz!
An der Fassade des HOWOGE-Gebäudes Friedrichstraße 245 A entsteht diesen Sommer ein riesiges Mosaik des Künstlers BRAD DOWNEY. Berliner Graffiti-Künstler:in-nen und Jugendliche aus dem Quartier bringen ab dem 16. Mai ihre Tags und Fill-Ins an die Wand. So entsteht gemeinsam das Werk „VANDALISM – A SOCIAL SCULPTURE“. Dieses wird im Laufe des Sommers in ein riesiges Mosaik transformiert. Seid gespannt auf das Ergebnis!
Feiert am Samstag, den 17. Mai 2025 von 13–19 Uhr mit uns den Auftakt zu „VANDALISM“. Gestaltet gemeinsam mit den Mosaizistas eine eigene Mosaik-Wand im Durchgang neben dem Café Choco Latte als vielfarbiges und vielteiliges Abbild der Nachbarschaft.
Setzt euch gemeinsam mit uns und dem Team von Outreach an unsere gedeckte Nachbarschaftstafel: Kommt zusammen und erlebt Kunst hautnah. Wir sorgen für Getränke, Snacks und Musik. Und wenn ihr mögt, bringt einfach Euer Lieblingsgericht mit für unser gemeinsames Buffet!
Und es ist noch mehr geplant! Wie immer steht bei LOA Berlin die Beteiligung der Nachbarschaft im Mittelpunkt: Zahlreiche Aktivitäten begleiten das Kunstprojekt von Mai bis September 2025. Ob Kiezrundgänge, Filmabende, Künstlergespräche oder das große Abschlussfest am 19. September 2025 – wir halten euch auf dem Laufenden.

Here we go: The Stiftung Stadtkultur brings new art to Mehringplatz!
A huge mosaic by artist BRAD DOWNEY will be created on the façade of the HOWOGE building at Friedrichstraße 245 A over this summer. Berlin graffiti artists and young people from the neighbourhood will be applying their tags and fill-ins to the wall from 16 May. Together they will create the work ‘VANDALISM – A SOCIAL SCULPTURE’. This will be transformed into a huge mosaic over the course of the summer. Look forward to the result!
Celebrate the start of ‘VANDALISM’ with us on Saturday, 17 May 2025 from 1pm to 7pm. Together with the Mosaizistas, design your own mosaic wall in the passageway next to Café Choco Latte as a multi-coloured and multi-part image of the neighbourhood. Join us and the Outreach team at our covered neighbourhood table: come together and experience art up close. We’ll provide drinks, snacks and music. And if you like, just bring your favourite dish for our joint buffet!
And there’s more planned! As always, LOA Berlin focuses on the participation of the neighbourhood: numerous activities will accompany the art project from May to September 2025, including neighbourhood tours, film evenings, artist talks and the big closing party on 19 September 2025 – we’ll keep you up to date.

İşte başlıyoruz: Stiftung Stadtkultur Mehringplatz’a yeni bir sanat getiriyor!
Friedrichstraße 245 A adresindeki HOWOGE binasının cephesinde bu yaz sanatçı BRAD DOWNEY tarafından devasa bir mozaik oluşturulacak. Berlinli grafiti sanatçıları ve mahallenin gençleri 16 Mayıs’tan itibaren duvara etiketlerini ve dolgularını uygulayacaklar. Birlikte “VANDALİZM – TOPLUMSAL BİR HEYKEL” çalışmasını yaratacaklar. Bu çalışma yaz boyunca büyük bir mozaiğe dönüştürülecek. Sonucu merakla bekliyoruz!
“VANDALİZM “in başlangıcını 17 Mayıs 2025 Cumartesi günü saat 13:00 ile 19:00 arasında bizimle birlikte kutlayın. Mosaizistas ile birlikte, Café Choco Latte’nin yanındaki geçitte, mahallenin çok renkli ve çok parçalı bir görüntüsü olarak kendi mozaik duvarınızı tasarlayın.
Kapalı mahalle masamızda bize ve Outreach ekibine katılın: bir araya gelin ve sanatı yakından deneyimleyin. İçecek, atıştırmalık ve müzik sağlayacağız. Ve eğer isterseniz, ortak büfemiz için en sevdiğiniz yemeği getirin!
